Rising Story House

Editorial policy

Rising Story House aims for accurate, independent and useful writing about story craft. We explain our reasoning, separate interpretation from fact and correct material when it needs correction.

Accuracy and judgement

We check factual statements against appropriate sources and take care with quotations, names and descriptions of published work. Craft analysis is often interpretive; we identify it as such and give readers a reason for our reading instead of presenting taste as settled fact.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions are made for reader value, not to satisfy a partner. Any paid, sponsored or partner-created material is clearly labelled where it appears, so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial work. A partnership does not guarantee favourable coverage.

Corrections

If you spot a factual error or a misleading passage, contact us with the article title and the point at issue. We review substantiated concerns and correct significant errors, making the change clear where appropriate.

Illustrations

Some illustrations may be generated with artificial intelligence. When an illustration is AI-generated, we label it as such; images are not presented as documentary evidence.
